Four journeys for your trip

  • Arrive & settle in: greetings, polite essentials, numbers and euros, airport arrival, accommodation and finding your way.
  • Eat, drink & shop: cafés and boulangeries, restaurant meals, food requests, local markets, groceries, clothes and souvenirs.
  • Explore France: towns and sights, buses and trains, coastal day trips, beach days and walks in nature.
  • Make it your holiday: book activities and equipment, talk about weather, change plans, ask for help, share memories and plan another visit.

Useful words become useful conversations

  • 480 vocabulary and phrase cards: 320 vocabulary entries and 160 holiday phrases with French audio, English meanings and approximate pronunciation cues.
  • 20 bilingual conversations: 120 dialogue turns with replay controls and role practice.
  • 320 instantly checked exercises: practise meanings, grammar, word forms and verbs with hints, feedback and gentle retries.
  • 120 open activities: translation and reading tasks with model answers. Other accurate wording is welcome; these tasks are not rigidly graded.
  • 20 bilingual stories: follow a fictional holiday, listen, read and try a small creative project.
  • Grammar and verb studios: 40 present-tense verb tables, useful sentence patterns and gentle introductions to talking about yesterday and tomorrow.
  • A searchable reference shelf: sound guidance, a survival phrase toolbox, food requests, travel language and 12 review missions.

Listen. Understand. Try it on your holiday.

Included synthetic French narration plays when you tap Listen. Replay or slow it down. English meanings stay close to the French. Reading-question translations appear before model answers, so you can understand a task without revealing its solution.

Practise polite vous and familiar tu, useful requests such as s’il vous plaît, and everyday distinctions such as sur place and à emporter. Learn about French nasal vowels, silent letters and words that link together. Written pronunciation cues are approximate reminders to support listening.

Choose Guided, Practice or Challenge for different amounts of support. All three cover the same beginner course. Save useful words, collect twenty passport stamps and return to the phrases you want to use. There is no countdown timer.

Three anonymous learner profiles keep progress separate. Purchased-course progress saves to the purchasing Quesbo account. No child name, child email or microphone is required.

Before you buy

This is an interactive online language app. It does not include a physical book, PDF/EPUB download or app-store installation. An internet connection and a current browser are required. A tablet or computer gives lessons more room. Try the complete first-unit demo on your intended device before purchasing.

Designed for beginner travellers and families. Conversations, prices, times and bookings are fictional language-practice examples; check current travel information with the relevant operator. Speaking activities are self-practice; the app does not assess your accent or award a language qualification.
