Five celebration cakes, with every stage explained
Discover Quesbie’s vanilla & berry party cake, blueberry-lemon streusel, chocolate-almond Torta Caprese, raspberry Swiss roll and berry pavlova. Adapted from Quesbo’s published Little Chef recipes and techniques, each eight-page chapter includes ingredients, equipment, timing, eight pictured method stages, decorating and serving ideas, and a technique activity for curious young bakers.
That is 40 illustrated cake-making stages, from creaming and folding to building a filling dam, rolling a sponge and shaping a meringue nest. Adult roles, texture checks and make-ahead notes help families plan the baking before the party.
A savoury table, too
Make little English-muffin pizzas and colourful houmous pitta pockets, each with ingredients, equipment and six illustrated preparation steps. Serving notes help the host organise small platters, drinking water and clear food information.
Six crafts children can make and keep
- A pop-up celebration card with a moving paper step.
- Freestanding Feast Friend place-card characters.
- A four-panel pocket book of party memories.
- A folded paper rosette celebrating a kind moment.
- A patterned celebration crown, with a table-display alternative.
- A colour-window paper pavilion for a miniature shared village.
Across the six projects, follow 36 illustrated craft stages, with measured printable templates, helpful diagrams, creative variations and finished-piece checks. Pre-cut, pre-folded and quieter options give children different ways to join in.
Six games to play together
Solve The Missing Party Spark, tell The Most Unusual Picnic, run The £10 Paper Party Market, try Paper Landing Club, choose Describe, Draw or Pose, and rebuild The Party Memory Mosaic.
Full host instructions, worked examples, printable clues and cards, answer guidance and seated alternatives make the games practical to run. Shared discoveries and teamwork take centre stage.
A complete celebration, at your own pace
Choose from 90-minute, two-hour and three-hour party schedules. Plan the invitation, food, helpers and room stations with useful checklists, then keep the good moments through a makers’ gallery, memory page, thank-you cards, illustrated badges and a celebration certificate.
