Create a delicate keepsake, one thoughtful stitch at a time.

Make a beautifully detailed textile pendant with the Quesbo Dreamcatcher-Inspired Felt Pendant Craft Guide. Warm tan felt, a turquoise ring and terracotta accents frame a cream cord web, finished with a softly padded teal centre.

Three handmade felt feathers hang below, decorated with painted colour and golden stitched shafts. From arranging the geometric cord pattern to sewing the feather edges, this project offers several relaxed sessions of creative making—and a finished keepsake to display or give.

Inside your 32-page PDF guide:

  • Detailed, step-by-step making instructions with photographs and sewing diagrams.

  • Six full-size A4 template sheets, including cutting patterns, cord routes, paint maps and placement guides.

  • A materials and tools list with measurements.

  • Guidance for building the supported cord web from eight spokes and two octagons.

  • Couching instructions for securing the web and its cream cord border.

  • Steps for decorating the turquoise ring and sewing the softly padded centre.

  • Instructions for painting, stitching and assembling all three felt feathers.

  • Backstitch, blanket-stitch and whipstitch guidance.

  • Directions for securely anchoring the hanging loop and feather ribbons.

  • Care advice, troubleshooting tips, a cut-out gift card and a making-notes page.

  • A short introduction acknowledging dreamcatchers’ roots in Ojibwe culture.

Project details

  • Age: 8+ with adult help and supervision.

  • Level: intermediate; younger makers will need adult support.

  • Making time: approximately 6–8 hours, plus drying time, spread across several sessions.

  • Finished size: approximately 10 cm across the body and 17 cm overall height.

  • Techniques: fine cutting, fabric painting, couching and hand sewing.

You will need thin felt, soft foam, fine cotton cord, ribbon, sewing thread, embroidery cotton, fabric paints, felt glue and basic craft tools. No hard beads, wire or real feathers are needed.

Print the template pages at 100% / Actual size and check the included scale bars before cutting.

This is a contemporary decorative interpretation. Its cord pattern is stitched onto solid felt, rather than woven inside an open hoop.

Digital PDF only. No printed guide, finished pendant, tools or materials are included. Adult assistance is needed for fine cutting, needles, any paint heat-setting and final attachment checks. The finished piece is a decorative keepsake for gentle handling.

For personal making and handmade gifts. The guide and templates may not be shared, resold or redistributed.
